During winter break, the young participants of the dance and leadership program, alongside their mothers, Alejandra Ramos, the leadership program's manager, and our director and founder, Verónica Robles, embarked on a trip to Hampton, New Hampshire with the goal of bonding and having fun.
Part of the excitement for the young girls was the opportunity to stay overnight at a hotel, share spooky stories, and swim in the pool.
Undoubtedly, the most touching and significant moment was when they shared childhood stories and the challenges they face as mothers and daughters, emphasizing the importance of empathy, deep breaths, and the understanding that difficult moments are temporary and can be overcome.
The young participants had the chance to teach a choreography to their mothers and then record it in front of the statue of The Lady of the Sea at the beach.
Despite the chilly weather, they braved the cold and recorded a video that we’re excited to share with you.
The trip was made possible by the bus we acquired last summer with the support of the Yawkey Foundation, and a parent of one of the young participants graciously served as the volunteer driver.
We take great pride in having nurtured this close-knit cultural family that cherishes and supports one another.

Paseo anual del receso de invierno
Durante el receso de invierno, las jóvenes participantes del programa de danza y liderazgo, junto con sus madres, Alejandra Ramos, la gerente del programa de liderazgo, y nuestra directora y fundadora, Verónica Robles, emprendieron un viaje a Hampton, New Hampshire, con el objetivo de estrechar lazos y divertirse.
Los más emocionante para las jóvenes fue la oportunidad de pasar la noche en un hotel, compartir historias de miedo y nadar en la piscina.
Indudablemente, el momento más conmovedor y significativo fue cuando compartieron historias de su infancia y los desafíos que enfrentan como madres e hijas, enfatizando la importancia de la empatía, respirar profundamente y comprender que los momentos difíciles son temporales y se pueden superar.
Las jóvenes tuvieron la oportunidad de enseñar una coreografía a sus madres y luego grabarla frente a la estatua de La Dama del Mar en la playa.
Valientemente desafiaron el frío y grabaron un video que nos complace compartir con ustedes.
El viaje fue posible gracias al autobús que adquirimos el verano pasado con el apoyo de la Fundación Yawkey, y un padre de una de las jóvenes participantes amablemente se ofreció como conductor voluntario.
Nos enorgullece haber formado esta gran familia cultural que se aprecia y apoya mutuamente.
